Long time no post! Life has been so busy recently we have been getting some work done to our house which had meant a lot of entertaining dogs in small sections of the house! And what happened to the weather! At one point it was raining every day! Safe to say going out with the camera hasn't happened for a while but hopefully we back posting on Instagram soon!
Some of our followers from Instagram know that we put our Cold-Pressed food into a 'Food' tin as it is easier for me. This means when a few bags have been put into the tin a Cold-Pressed powder forms at the bottom. I've used this to turn into tasty biscuits for Chester it what we like to call "Forthglade Flour"
What you need to make the biscuits:
▪️ 80g Ground Forthglade Cold-Pressed (Forthglade Flour)
▪️ 50g Plain Flour
▪️ 20ml Kefir
▪️ 1 Large Egg
▪️ Handful of Coconut Flakes
Weigh out 80g of Ground Cold-Pressed 'Forthglade Flour' (You can use the powder at the bottom of the bag or grind some up in a blender or food processor)
Sieve in 50g of plain flour (or alternative flour, plain suits Chester's stomach as he doesn't tolerate too much fibre)
Add handful of coconut flakes and 1 large egg. Chester adores Coconut.
Add in kefir up to 20 ml or until the dough is dough-like, if it is too dry then add a little more Kefir until you are happy with the consistency and it is firm enough to roll.
Roll out dough and cut into desired shapes. Place on a non-stick baking tray and cook for 8 to 10 minutes at 160 degree. We went for the signature Forthglade heart shape along with some large and smaller bones.
Allow to cool on a cooling rack for around 20 minutes. Then place in a air tight container and use within 2 weeks.
Don't they look tasty! Chester very much enjoyed modelling.............and taste testing!
